<BODY> <P><FONT size="4"><B>Fastening Main Shaft & Nut for HC-6S and HC-18C</B> </FONT><BR> <BR> Problems : The main shaft and bolt could be loose. And problems might occur.<BR> 1) Noise comes out when the nut of main shaft comes loose.<BR> 2) Plastic rotary wing could be chipped by the shaving blade because <BR> the wing does not rotate round evenly and horizontally. Chipped plastic might go into shaved ice.<BR> 3) The rotary wing could be locked depending on how the fastening nut comes loose.<BR> <BR> Procedures for trouble shooting :<BR> 1) Be sure that the power switch is off.<BR> 2) Put the stainless stopper(8mm dia pole in the hole for HC-6S, 6mm dia pole for HC-18C) or a screw driver into the drain hole of the conical case. The stopper will block the rotation of the wing.<BR> 3) Take out the nut fastening the rotary wing by T-wrench. (Counter-clockwise)<BR> 4) Put a new nut to fasten the rotary wing, but fasten lightly. (Clockwise) . See the Picture-2 and confirm the stopper in the position.<BR> 5) Close the lid.<BR> 6) Turn on the power switch to rotate the rotary wing. The power (about 400KG)to rotate the wing will firmly fasten the screw of the main shaft lower screw.<BR> 7) Open the lid, and move the rotary wing in the position of Picture-2. <BR> 8) Repeat the procedures 5) to 7) two times more (total three times of kicks).<BR> 9) Open the lid. Fasten the nut by T-wrench by a SINGLE HAND. (Do not fasten too strongly. Use a single hand only instead of two hands.
